For more than 20 years, Hitachi and Oracle have sustained a mutually-beneficial partnership that serves as a foundation for innovation and growth at both companies.
The 60,000-plus visitors expected to visit the four-day Oracle OpenWorld event at San Francisco’s Moscone Center, that starts Sunday, and the millions more dropping by via social media, will to see first-hand the innovations the Hitachi-Oracle alliance inspired.
Hitachi Data Systems will demo these ground-breaking solutions throughout OOW at booth #1501, Moscone Center South Exhibition Hall 1. The demo list includes:
- DIET (Database Infrastructure Evaluation Tool) – A Hitachi Data Systems browser-based analysis, performance, growth-checking and sizing tool for Oracle and SQL server databases. Years in the making, DIET has helped 750 HDS customers improve the performance and resilience of their Oracle databases.
- Hitachi Storage Adapters – Hitachi Storage Adapters tightly integrate with Oracle to help customers easily manage the storage infrastructure for their Oracle database applications through the application life cycle. Two adapters in the HDS adapter portfolio will be unveiled with expanded features added to meet ever-changing business challenges customers encounter daily. Those adapters include:
- Hitachi Storage Adapter for Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) – Enables central monitoring and management of database storage
- Hitachi Storage Adapter for Oracle Enterprise Manager-Database Cloning (ODC) – Allows Oracle database cloning – for testing, QA and other uses - working with a Hitachi storage system and Hitachi replication features.
