What is the Metadata Protection Level (MDPL) in HCP?

MDPL means the number of copies of the metadata that HCP maintains.

MDPL=2 means there are 2 copies of the metadata.

The minimum value for MDPL is 2.


By keeping 2 copies of the metadata, HCP is resilient to disk failure or corruption issues that can threaten the ability to find saved content.
