What are the requirements for VM version of HDI?

You should contact HDI product management for the most current requirements and direction. Contact Kenneth Lamb or HDI PM dlist.

Below is the latest recommendation information based on the HDI 6.x release and later.  Towards the bottom of this page is the original specification provided for HDI 2.5 (March 2011) and later.

Software requirements: HDI VMware requires ESXi pre-installed on the host and VMware vSphere Client installed on the client as a minimum to run.

The recommended configuration as tested by our development labs:

Note that Virtual Disks cannot expand afterwards. Capacity planning must be done before configuration and use of the Virtual Disks.
