Rate and like content so others know it's useful.

Good content deserves attention. You can help improve the popularity of a blog post, discussion, document, or other type of content by rating and liking it. Popularity determines whether a piece of content is promoted in certain content tiles, for example, the Popular Content and Answered Questions tiles. The more people who view, like, and award 3- to 5-star ratings to a piece of content, the more popular it becomes. Some communities may have rating or liking disabled for certain content types.

 

How to Like Content

Click the Like link on the right column whenever you are viewing a piece of content. You will also see the Like option with the activity streams, so you don't have to click through to open content in order to like it.

How to Rate Content

The rating option appears at the bottom of the page when you are viewing a piece of content. Hover over the number of stars you want to award the content, then click within the star to give your rating.
