This is common service template to execute HDvM CLI.

You can execute any HDvM CLI by specifying parameters (e.g. command name, arguments).

This includes HDvM CLI plug-in, so you can use only plug-in inside other service templates.

How to use

As standalone service template

  1. Import the service template, then create service from it.
  2. Edit "Device Manager Settings" section in service edit screen because some information regarding Device Manager (e.g. host name, CLI installation path, protocol, port, username, password) are needed to execute HDvM CLI.
  3. Submit service request with new command name (e.g. AddHost) and parameters (e.g. hostname=NewHost, wwnlist=, ostype=Windows). Please see Device Manager manual about what kind of parameters you can specify.

As one step of other service template

  1. Create new service template or edit existing service template in Service Builder.
  2. Pick the "HDvM CLI' service template from Services tab, or you can also pick only "HDvM CLI Plug-in". If you pick plug-in, there is no GUI settings, so you need to add it.

Detail Information

Internal Configuration

  1. As mentioned above, this service template consists of only one plug-in (HDvM CLI plug-in). The custom plug-in calls HDvM CLI based on specified parameters.
